Yas Links (Abu Dhabi; 2014) ball markers

After visiting Abu Dhabi Golf Club, I first dropped off my wife and baby at Yas Mall before going to Yas Links, where I was able to purchase two ball markers:  a new, black one made by www.dab-international.com; and a re-strike (I wasn't able to get a copy when it was first sold at an unknown date some time ago).

Yas Links (Abu Dhabi; 2012) ball markers

After visiting Abu Dhabi Golf Club, my wife and I went to Ikea (Yas Island) for lunch and some shopping, and then we headed to the nearby Yas Links to purchase ball markers not yet in my collection.  The two markers above complements two older markers that read I Broke 90 and I Survived; the gold- and silver-rimmed magnetic markers below came with hat clips of differing designs.

Lastly, the ball marker below came with a medallion:

Yas Links (Abu Dhabi) ball markers

On Wednesday (14 December), my wife Lilibeth joined the Al Ain Equestrian, Shooting and Golf Club (AESGC) team in playing at Yas Links for the Ladies Interclub Challenge participated in by AESGC, Yas Links, Al Badia (Dubai), and Montgomerie (Dubai).  My wife's team was one person short and came in last on the Stableford system (10 points behind the 3rd placer and 27 points behind the winner).  Had my wife's team been complete, they may have had a chance to improve their standing (their best player had scored 28 points; their worst, 12).

I'm quite proud of Lilibeth in that even if she is a beginning golfer still without a handicap, she was able to complete the course with 13 points, having made par once.  Her game at Yas Links was actually only the fourth 18-hole game that she had scored and entered in the system. Anyway, when I purchased ball markers from Yas Links months ago, I learned that they gave away a ball marker for those who finish 18 holes at their club.  They have since stopped the practice, but because of her PR (public relations) skills, my wife was able to get one for me:  it's a gold marker (in the picture below at left) that came together with a pitch fork and a tag for the golf bag.  As far as I remember, the only one available for sale is the silver variety (in the picture below at right)

Another type that I bought a long time ago includes these two varieties: one that says I Survived and another that reads I Broke 90:

Still another type came in 5 different colors (brown, black, beige, cream, and white):

And here's another type, which is of irregular shape:
